A safe space to reconnect your mind, body and soul

Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Sound Therapy in East Molesey, Sunninghill & Online

Supporting Emotional Wellbeing Through Counselling

Welcome, I am Patrizia, and thank you for visiting Mind and Body Therapy.

As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can feel safe to explore whatever is happening in your life. I work in person and online with young people, individuals and couples in East Molesey and Sunninghill, providing a supportive and confidential environment for those facing life’s challenges, experiencing changes or seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. Taking the first step towards counselling can feel significant and sometimes daunting and I aim to make the process as safe and welcoming as possible. Together we can work towards healing, personal growth and a stronger sense of who you are.

My training is integrative and relational, meaning that I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to meet you where you are. These include Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Existential approaches.

I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative journey where understanding, trust and self awareness can grow. Sessions offer you a space to explore at your own pace, reflect on patterns, develop coping strategies and resilience.

Holistic and Inclusive Approach to Wellbeing

Supporting the whole self

I offer a holistic approach to wellbeing that supports the mind, body and soul. My practice integrates talking therapy, walk-and-talk therapy and sound therapy to nurture the whole self – creating space for healing, balance and personal growth

Counselling, Sound Therapy and Walk and Talk Therapy in practice

While Counselling helps the exploration of thoughts, patterns and emotional challenges through dialogue and reflection, Sound Therapy adds a vibrational layer that helps quiet the mind, calm the nervous system and create space for inner stillness and emotional release: words speak to the mind but sound speaks to the soul. Walk and Talk Therapy facilitates emotional awareness by being in a natural setting, where movement and nature support grounding and clarity.

A safe and inclusive space

I am inclusive and respectful of all cultural backgrounds, sexualities and spiritual beliefs, and welcome diversity in all its forms. I strive to provide a space where each client can feel seen, valued and supported.

Frequently asked questions

What is counselling?

Counselling is a supportive and collaborative process where a fully trained professional helps individuals explore and process their inner thoughts, feelings and behaviours to better understand themselves and overcome challenges.  It provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to facilitate an open and honest expression of mental and emotional struggles and to promote personal growth and positive changes.

What is sound therapy?

Sound Therapy is a gentle wellness practice that uses soothing sound frequencies to promote deep relaxation, balance and clarity. By calming the nervous system, sound therapy helps reduce stress, ease tension and support emotional wellbeing. During a session, carefully selected sounds are experienced in a comfortable setting, allowing the mind and body to relax naturally.

What is walk and talk therapy?

Walk and Talk Therapy takes place outdoors in nature. Being on the move and in an open environment can help those who find the confinement of the room and sitting still difficult. Being in nature can be emotionally restorative and relaxing.

How long will I need to have counselling?

The length of counselling varies for each person. Some clients benefit from just a few sessions, while others choose long term support (several weeks or months). Counselling can be flexible and sessions continue for as long as they feel helpful and meaningful to the client.

How long will I have to wait for an appointment?

My aim is to offer a first appointment - known as an initial assessment - within 1-2 weeks. Then we would arrange a set number of counselling sessions to take place at the same time every week, that is convenient for you and when I have availability.

Is counselling confidential?

Everything that is said within the counselling room is confidential - this is one of the main ways counselling and therapy differ from talking to a friend or relative. Confidentiality is respected at all times. It is only broken if there is a risk of harm to you or others, concerns about abuse or neglect or if the law requires it. Wherever possible, this would be discussed with the client first.

Can I bring a friend or relative with me?

According to the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) counselling is normally conducted on a one-to-one basis to protect confidentiality, boundaries and the client’s best interests. Involving a friend or relative may be considered in exceptional circumstances with the client’s informed consent and only if it supports the counselling process. The client’s welfare remains the priority at all times.
